RPF Swift action under “Operation Aaht” & “Operation Nanhey Faristey”
The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Eastern Railway continues its unwavering commitment to ensuring passenger safety and protecting vulnerable persons across its jurisdiction. On 01.11.2025, RPF personnel displayed exemplary vigilance and dedication by successfully detecting a case of human trafficking and rescuing a minor girl in two separate incidents.
1. Detection of Human Trafficking under “Operation Aaht”:
On 01.11.2025, RPF officials of RPF Post/Bandel under Howrah Division, Eastern Railway, acting promptly under “Operation Aaht”, rescued one minor girl and arrested one female trafficker from Bandel Railway Station. The rescued child and the arrested accused were handed over to GRPS/Bandel. A case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Child Labour (Prohibition & Regulation) Act has been registered against the accused, identified as Mamoni @ Mimi Mandal.
2. Rescue of Minor under “Operation Nanhey Faristey”:
In another commendable effort on the same day, under “Operation Nanhey Faristey”, RPF officials of Asansol West Post under Asansol Division rescued one minor girl found wandering in Train No. 12301 UP Rajdhani Express at Asansol Railway Station. The rescued girl was safely handed over to the concerned Child Help Line for necessary care and counselling.
The dedicated and timely actions of RPF officials once again demonstrate their commitment to curbing human trafficking and safeguarding children in distress. Eastern Railway commends the vigilant efforts of its RPF personnel in ensuring passenger safety and upholding humanitarian values across the railway network.
