On Wednesday,(11/09/25) the National Institute of Technology, a central government-run educational institution located in the Durgapur industrial area, hosted a Rigvedic Purvamna on the occasion of arrival of Shri Govardhan Math Puri Peethadhiswar Shrimad Jagatguru Shankaracharya Shri Swami Nischalananda Saraswati. Incidentally, for Hindus, Jagatguru Shankaracharya is considered to be the embodiment of God himself. Therefore, the enthusiasm among the students, teachers and the public in the industrial area present around his arrival was noticeable.

 

On the day, Jagatguru Shankaracharya Shri Swami Nischalananda Saraswati Ji Maharaj answered all the questions of the common people at an event organized at the auditorium of NIT Durgapur. Jagatguru won the hearts of everyone present by giving appropriate and acceptable answers to various questions on various social issues, including Hindu religious scriptures and the history of Hinduism. 

 

This morning, Shri Swami Nischalananda Saraswati Ji Maharaj first participated in a special puja ceremony organized at the NIT Guest House and then faced questions from general devotees and students in a Senate Auditorium located within the institute premises. In response to a question posed by a devotee, he said, "Religion has no connection with politics. Those who use religion for politics are nothing but miscreants and evildoers. Everyone is a partaker of sin, if they are doing politics using a particular religion. The people who do politics with religion have no connection with the four world gurus of Hinduism, Shankaracharya. All the gurus, sevaits and devotees of Jagatguru Shankaracharya's never keep in touch with the political leadership." Along with this, he imparted some moral elements to all present that will enlighten the lives of young parents and their children in the light of Sanatan Dharma.

 

This afternoon, Puri's Jagatguru Shankaracharya attended a special program organized for all the students of the college at the New Auditorium located inside the NIT complex. Where he sheds light on how India can once again be placed in the best position in the world, in the coming days.

 

On the other hand, there have been allegations that leaders of various political parties are spreading false rumors on several social media platforms regarding the arrival of Puri's Jagatguru Shankaracharya at NIT Durgapur campus. In this context, a devotee lamented, "Hindu people attain the vision of Jagatguru Shankaracharya with the belief that all their wishes are fulfilled just by seeing him. But a group of low-minded political leaders who established the temple of Sri Sri Jagannath Dev, on the other hand, are the ones who are spreading misinformation about the Puri Peethadhiswar Srimad Jagatguru Shankaracharya. We are truly unfortunate citizens of this country. According to the ideology of a certain political party, those who do not even perform the funeral rites of their own parents are today spreading misinformation about the Puri Peethadhiswar Shrimad Jagatguru Shankaracharya on various social media platforms."  He further said, "Those who are spreading misinformation about the arrival of Puri Peethadhiswar Shrimad Jagatguru Shankaracharya are ultimately harming themselves. Because for all people who believe in Hinduism, Puri Peethadhiswar Shrimad Jagatguru Shankaracharya is a revered figure. Therefore, those who spread misinformation in the name of Jagatguru Shankaracharya are directly becoming the object of hatred of people who believe in Hinduism, without even knowing it."

 

Puri Peethadheeshwar Shrimad Jagatguru Shankaracharya Shri Swami Nischalananda Saraswati Ji Maharaj is not only an expert in Vedic mathematics, he has written thousands of books, just reading which makes you understand how rare it is to get close to him." So today, with his arrival, in Durgapur National Institute of Technology, the land of Durgapur has been sanctified."
