The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has expressed his gratitude for the affection and blessings received from people across the country, on the occasion of his birthday today. Shri Modi said that some gestures remain very special and deeply touch the heart. He described 'Ashirwad Ka Diya' as one such expression of affection that has deeply touched him. The Prime Minister said that every blessing strengthens his resolve to serve the people of  Bharat with even greater devotion.

BJP Distributes Earthen Lamps Door-to-Door in Durgapur.

The BJP undertook a unique initiative to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday. On the eve of the Prime Minister's birthday—which falls today, September 17—BJP workers and supporters distributed earthen lamps from door to door in Wards 22 and 23 of Durgapur.The party stated that this special initiative was undertaken to convey the message of lighting earthen lamps in every household on the Prime Minister's birthday.

In the evening, BJP workers visited various homes in the area in groups and handed earthen lamps to the residents. Great enthusiasm and excitement were observed among the party leaders and workers regarding the event. Speaking on this matter, Suchismita Pandey, General Secretary of the Bardhaman Organizational District BJP, stated that their goal is to create an atmosphere of light across the country to mark the Prime Minister's birthday. With this objective in mind, earthen lamps are being distributed to every household. Party leaders have expressed hope that on Modi's birthday, every home—and indeed the entire nation—will be illuminated by the glow of these lamps.
