On CM's birthday, Chicken served in Rs 5 meal

The East Burdwan Zilla Parishad added chicken curry in the daily meal of Rs 5 per dish to celebrate Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's 71st birthday today.

The Rs 5 Annapurna daily meal project for the first 100 visitors from the low income group is maintained in cooperation with the drivers of the Zilla Parishad for the five working days a week. The meal includes rice, egg and a vegetable curry. 

The ZP Sabhadhipati Shyama Prasanna Lohar today added chicken and sweet in the meal to observe Chief Minister's birthday. Lohar first cut a birthday cake in CM's name and then served the meal to the visitors. He said: "To celebrate our Chief Minister's birthday, today we also inaugurated a free public potable water unit for the persons visiting the ZP and district Court compound."
