NIT Durgapur observes Constitution Day
National Institute of Technology (NIT) Durgapur solemnly observed Constitution Day 2025 at the central premises of the S. N. Ray Memorial Building this morning, commemorating the historic adoption of the Constitution of India on November 26, 1949. The occasion marked a moment of collective reflection on the democratic spirit, justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity that continue to guide the nation’s constitutional framework.

The programme was graced by the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Arvind Choubey, Director, NIT Durgapur, along with the Registrar of the Institute. All Deans, Heads of Departments, faculty members, staff, students, and research scholars joined the gathering, underscoring the Institute’s shared dedication to upholding the nation’s constitutional ethos.

As part of the observance, the assembled dignitaries, faculty, and students took a solemn oath on the Preamble of the Indian Constitution, echoing the fundamental principles that continue to shape the nation’s democratic framework. The programme concluded with a reaffirmation of NIT Durgapur’s steadfast commitment to obey, uphold, and serve the Indian Constitution.
