Medical student held ex hospital staff as rapist

The alleged gang rape victim medical student of IQ City Medical College has held a former staff of the hospital as her rapist during the TI parade, which was revealed at the court today.
 
Firdos Sheikh  - one of the six accused, according to the report, allegedly had raped the second year medical student hailed from Jaleshwar, Odhisa on 10 October night inside a forest near the college campus.
 
Firdos, like four other youths, hailed from local Bijra village. He was a contractual worker of the same hospital one year ago.
 
The Test Identification Parade (under Section 54 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita) was performed on the last 24 October inside the Durgapur Sub Correctional Home.
 
The TI parade's report was submitted to the Court (under Section 9 of the Indian Evidence Act, 1872) and was made public after Partha Ghosh, victim's lawyer, pleaded for this. The ACJM immediately allowed this. 
 
The ACJM turned down the bail petition of the accused and ordered jail custody for them till 31 October during their virtual production through the video conference in the presence of the jail superintendent. No lawyer appeared to plead on behalf of the accused youths. 
 
The ACJM stated: "Considering the gravity of the alleged offense and depth of the prayer by the Public Prosecutor, the bail is rejected." He further stated: "I hope the investigation processes are soon to be concluded. We want a speedy trial of the case."
