IRCTC pilgrimage tour "Dekho Apna Desh" & "Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat"

A press conference was organized by IRCTC on Tuesday at the Food Plaza on Platform 2 of Asansol Railway Station. IRCTC representatives, Dipankar Manna, Nikhil Sonar and Chandraprabha said, "Dekho Apna Desh" and "Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat" are two schemes of the Government of India. Under which the Government of India tries to introduce the people of the country to the rich heritage and history of the India through Indian railways. Under this initiative, a pilgrimage tour will begin from Bettiah next year, on18th January, 2026. This pilgrimage tour, will last for 14 nights and 15 days, which include all major pilgrimage site. 
 
The tour include the pilgrimage sites like Tirupati Balaji, Ramnath Swami Jyotirlinga, Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga and Jagannath Puri Dham. The whole tour will witness to the rich history and cultural heritage of these places. The tour begins from Bettiah on 18th January. The pilgrimage tour Passengers can board and alight from this train at Raxaul, Sitamari, Darbhanga Junction, Samastipur Junction, Hajipur, Patliputra, Patna, Bakhtiarpur Junction, Kiul, Jasidi, Asansol, Bankura, Midnapore, Kharagpur, Hijli and Balasore.

The first is economy class, for which each passenger will have to pay Rs- 27,535. Passengers travelling in economy class will be accommodated in sleeper class. Passengers will be taken to tourist destinations through non-AC hotels and non-AC local transport. 
 
The second class will be standard class. For which each passenger will have to pay Rs- 37,500. In this, passengers will get the benefit of traveling in 3 AC trains coaches. They will stay in AC hotels and can visit sightseeing places in non-AC vehicles. 
 
The third class will be the comfort class. For which each passenger will have to pay Rs- 51,405. This includes 2nd AC train journeys, AC hotel stay and sightseeing tour in a AC vehicle. During this pilgrimage tour journey, only vegetarian food will be served to all passengers inside and outside the train. Special security personnel will be present for the convenience and safety of passengers. Only those passengers whose tickets have been confirmed will be allowed to board the train. Full preparations have also been made to deal with any medical or emergency situations. The journey will end on 1st February 2026.
