Eastern Railway “Operation Amanat” Extends helping hand to passengers

Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel of Eastern Railway continue their dedicated efforts to ensure the safety and security of passenger belongings through the nationwide initiative “Operation Amanat.”
 
On 29.11.2025, RPF teams of Howrah, Sealdah, Asansol and Malda Divisions successfully recovered various left-behind luggage items from different trains and Railway premises. The recovered items include:
 
02 blankets, 01 suitcase, and 16 bags containing clothes, documents, electronic items, a laptop, mobile charger, wristwatch, shoes, PAN card, ATM cards, Voter ID, ICICI Visa card, Post Bank card, smart card, driving licence, power bank, makeup kits, handwash, cream, powder, other essential goods and cash amounting to ?22,000. The total value of the recovered belongings is approximately ?2,75,500.
 
These items were recovered from trains and railway premises at Howrah, Dankuni, Barddhaman, Sealdah, Naihati, Asansol, Durgapur, Jamtara, Sultanganj, Sahibganj, Jamalpur, and Bhagalpur stations. All recovered belongings were duly handed over to their rightful owners after proper verification and documentation. After receiving their belongings, passengers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Eastern Railway.
