DSP Main Hospital First-Ever Total Knee Replacement surgery

DSP Main Hospital marked a significant milestone this week with the successful conduct of its first-ever Total Knee Replacement (TKR) surgery, heralding a new chapter in advanced orthopaedic care at the hospital.

The landmark procedure was led by Orthopaedic Surgeons Dr. Priyank Sahoo and Dr. Chetan, Dr Tiwary along with a dedicated team of anaesthetists, OT nursing staff, and support personnel. The surgery was completed successfully, and the patient is stable and recovering well under close medical supervision.Dr RR Kumar ,CMO I/C ,M&HS ,DSP along with Hospital Administrator was present on the occasion and praised the DSP Medical team for their commendable feat and encouraged the team for more such performances in future.

Until now, such advanced joint replacement surgeries often required referral to external tertiary centres.
