In order to address and resolve the persistent water-logging issues on both sides of the National Highway adjoining the Banskopa Industrial Area, Durgapur, a coordination meeting was convened at the office of ADDA.
The meeting witnessed the participation of senior officials from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Asansol Durgapur Development Authority (ADDA), Kanksa Panchayat, Traffic Department of Asansol Durgapur Police Commissionerate (ADPC), representatives from the General Administration, and industrialists from the Banskopa Industrial Park.
A fruitful and constructive discussion was held in the august presence of Hon’ble Mr. Kabi Dutta, Chairman, ADDA. The meeting was conducted by Hon’ble Mr. V. G. Satish Pasupathy, IPS, DCP (Traffic), ADPC, who facilitated deliberations on the key challenges related to water drainage, traffic movement, and infrastructure coordination.
During the meeting, several critical issues were discussed in detail, and multiple practical and coordinated avenues for resolution emerged through inter-departmental cooperation. The stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to implementing sustainable solutions to mitigate water-logging and improve overall connectivity and safety in the industrial area.
The meeting marked a significant step towards collaborative governance and timely resolution of long-standing infrastructural concerns affecting the Banskopa Industrial Zone.
