Children's Day celebrated at North Point School in Asansol
The birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of independent India,14th November, has been celebrated as 'Children's Day'. The two-day Children's Day was celebrated with various cultural programs in the premises of the well-known North Point School in Asansol along with the entire state.
The program began with the 'Investiture Ceremony'. As per the rules, the newly elected student leaders and other council members were formally entrusted with their responsibilities. They were honored by being given badges, symbols and shafts. The guests present at the program encouraged and inspired the young leaders to work with responsibility, discipline and dedication.
After that, the main program of the 'fest' began. The school premises were decorated with various types of stalls including food stalls, game stalls, etc. with the initiative of students and teachers. The food stalls had different flavors and different types of snacks, cakes, drinks, etc. On the other hand, the game stall, which was the biggest attraction for children, had Target Twist, Dice Fiesta, Spin the Wheel, Win the Chocolates, Dart Balloon Game, etc. Not only children but also parents were there.
One of the most interesting parts of the day was the magic show, which made the festival more colorful for everyone. Besides, various cultural programs performed by the young students of the school at the event gave a lot of joy to the audience present. The entire two-day program was a wonderful reflection of unity, joy and celebration. On the occasion of the fest, the school premises were filled with festive colors, laughter and joy, and the noise of children since morning.
The event was attended by the founder and chairman of the school, Sachindra Nath Roy, Director Mita Roy, Principal of the school, Rajiv Shaw, Principal of Durgapur MAMC Modern High School, Tarun Bhattacharya, OC of Jamuria Traffic, Subir Sen and other prominent personalities.
At the end of the event, Principal of the school, Rajiv Shaw, thanked everyone present. He gratefully acknowledged the efforts and dedication of all the members of the school's management committee, teachers, students and all the staff. Incidentally, the success of the students of this school not only in the board exams but also in various all-India competitive exams is quite commendable.
