ANTI ADDICTION CAMPAIGN RECRUITS STRONG SOLDIERS FROM THE FUTURE FOUNDATION SCHOOL

The Ministry of Education, Government of India had launched the comprehensive three-year Nasha Mukt Vidyalaya (NMV) Action Plan (2026–2029) under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, to make all educational institutions tobacco-free,drug-free and addiction free by March 2029.

Correlating with that powerful nationwide plan, renowned actor/activist/teacher of method acting from Kolkata-India , Bobby Chakraborty created waves at The Future Foundation School, on September 24th, with his pathbreaking anti addiction campaign, session no.490 globally, for students of the 7th, 8th,9th and 11th grades. This was his 4th session in this reputed school of Kolkata too.

Bobby has been diligently carrying out this life changing,awareness program for children, titled ‘I am the king of my mind' , all around the world, free of cost, since the last 2 decades. This multiple award winning interactive session aims at empowering a child against all sorts of addiction (smoking, alcoholism, smart phones) and harmful social trends (abusive language, online obscenity to gain popularity on social networking sites, online gambling through games, bullying, ragging etc.) .

This memorable session generated a tremendous impact on the students, who labelled it as the most important awareness program to happen in their whole school life so far. There were emotional moments, promises, confessions and a lot of camaraderie among the students, who thoroughly loved and learned from Bobby's unique and powerful ways of addressing the social evils with his trademark humour and fun activities for them. There has been a powerfully positive feedback from the parents too, who were extremely appreciative about Bobby and the school authority, to organise such a meaningful program for their children, which is the need of the hour.

The official photographer of this electrifying session was super active and well mannered soldier Ron Das Mahapatra(IX) , who was assisted by soldier Sandipta Basu(VIII), who also won the title of ‘The Best Friend’ in the social experiment.

The other two ceremonial titles of ‘The 1st Soldier’ and ‘The Trendsetter’ went to soldier Soujatya Ghosh(VIII), who was easily the most participative student in the audience.

The concluding recapitulation contest at the end had soldiers… Soujatya Ghosh(again),Prapti Banerjee(IX) and Revanth Agarwal (IX) as the winners. They, along with Ron were given special prizes, customized ‘soldier's t-shirts’ and Community Service Certificates by Bobby.

We appreciate the socially responsible School Management,the Director,Ranjan Mitter, the Principal, Suchandra Laha and the dynamic event coordinators Kavita Bhargava(Interact Club) along with Lopamudra Dutta, for joining hands with Bobby consistently, over the past two decades,towards the well being of their students,as they grow up.
