Problems with drinking water, sewage systems documented
Correspondent, Durgapur:- Women and Child Welfare Minister Shashi Panja was present at the inspection of the "Our Neighborhood, Our Solution" program organised at Sagarbhanga Hindi High School in Durgapur at 1 pm on Thursday.The Minister was accompanied on this day by DMC Administrative Board Chairperson Anindita Mukherjee, Administrative Board members Dharmendra Yadav, Dipankar Laha, and Rakhi Tewari.

The event was organised and mannaged by Paschim Bardhaman District Administration. Among other District Magistrate Ponnavalam S, Durgapur Subdivision Magistrate Dr. Saurabh Chatterjee, Durgapur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Abul Kalam Azad, and many local residents of Sagarbhanga area.

After the inspection, Dr. Shashi Panja said, “Multiple problems with drinking water and sewage systems have been documented in the Govt. housing area. Our Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has allocated Rs 10 lakh for each booth. Efforts will be made to find a permanent solution to every problem by utilising that money appropriately."
